So, Morgan received another award today for his heroism. Lt. Jim Glass (the Fireman who came to Court of Honor last December) nominated Morgan for the Young Humanitarian Real Heroes Award from the Red Cross and was picked to receive the award. It was an honor to have Morgan participate in this award and it was an awesome awards breakfast we attended with him. He was included in extraordinary group of people who, like him, went out of their own comfort zones to reach out to someone it need. To listen to each of their stories was inspiring. I would hope that we would all follow their examples by moving out of our comfort zones to reach out to those in need, emergency or not. One such hero today was recognized for give her kidney to a person who she only knew from her beverage of choice in the place where she worked. Wow! I wish we were surrounded more by stories like these.
We took the camera and recorded his award and acceptance for all of you who could not attend with us. Thank you to everyone for recognizing Morgan's heroism. I know it is from the examples all around him that has taught Morgan to reach out to others around him.
